“There are no days more beloved to Allah that He be worshiped in them than the ten days of Dhul Hijjah.” (Tirmidhi)
Five years of spiralling hunger
For the fifth year in a row, the number of hungry people across the world has increased. Crisis after crisis has pushed a staggering 282 million people into deep hunger – a total of 24 million more people than the year before.
After years of drought in Kenya, 280,000 people have now been displaced by devastating floods. In Nepal, a quarter of the entire population lives in extreme poverty, many of them in remote areas. More than 2.8 million people will face hunger in the coming months in the worst food crisis in a decade in Malawi, where a staggering four out of every 10 children suffer from stunting.
Your Qurbani is a lifeline for the ummah facing hunger. Every single nutritious meal is a comfort, a message of care, and vital nourishment. Every single meal offers blessings to those who give.
Donate to our $90 group and we’ll perform your Qurbani in Kenya, Malawi, or Nepal, depending on the need in each community. By dividing our Qurbani donation options into groups, we’re centring the needs of the local people while maintaining different, affordable donations options to suit every budget.
Reviving a Sunnah of the beloved Messenger (ﷺ)
$180 – continue the Sunnah of giving two Qurbani sacrifices in Kenya, Malawi, or Nepal, and spread the reward and blessings. Give one Qurbani as your own charity, and one on behalf of the ummah who can’t afford to give – just as the Messenger (ﷺ) used to do. Help us to revive this beautiful Sunnah.
The Messenger of Allah said, “Whoever revives a Sunnah of mine that dies out after I am gone, he will have a reward equivalent to that of those among the people who act upon it, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest…” (Ibn Majah)
Don’t miss out on the blessed rewards of Dhul Hijjah, the most blessed 10 days of the whole year. The Messenger of Allah likened each night of these 10 days to Laylatul Qadr, since they are filled with Allah’s mercy, blessings and forgiveness.
The blessings of Qurbani
Give your Qurbani, and continue the blessed legacy of the Messenger (ﷺ). It’s a unique act of mercy from Allah, an opportunity for devotion that is given only at this time of year, allowing us to share the blessings of Eid with others in the ummah while seeking Allah’s blessings.
For many, the Qurbani sacrifice is considered a duty for all adult Muslims who qualify for Zakat, but it’s certainly encouraged and greatly rewarded for all who are able to give, with every single hair on the sacrificed animal providing blessings to those who give.
When the Messenger (ﷺ) was asked what Qurbani is, he answered, “It is the Sunnah of your father Ibrahim. For every hair of the Qurbani you receive a reward from Allah.” (Al-Tirmidhi)
