Find out more about our work in Bangladesh.
.Human Appeal has been working in Bangladesh since 2015, helping communities during emergencies, and empowering them to be resilient to climate change.
Many of our projects in Bangladesh focus on fighting drought – by installing water wells, filtration units, and clean water points, and by teaching families to grow drought-resistant food.
Right now, we’re installing deep water wells and water filtration plants in Bangladesh. We’re also supporting children living on the street with an outreach center in Dhaka, which provides a safe space, healthcare, counselling, education, life skills, and training. Often we work through Dhaka Ahsania Mission, a local implementing partner, but we oversee, review, and monitor all projects.
Clean water point Installing a clean water point and purification plant to provide 2,238 people with sustainable clean water.
Deep water wells A special request project that is carried out as when our supporters fund it. It provides clean water to a whole community struggling with drought, transforming their future.
Outreach project Supporting 240 children living on the streets of Dhaka through education, healthcare, and counselling.
Improved sanitation for Rohingya refugees and the Bangladeshi community Repairing and installing latrines, water wells, and toilets in Cox’s Bazar, helping 5,673 people.
