Crisis by the Numbers

enter image description here Heavy rains began March 14, triggering widespread flooding across Aleppo, Idlib, Ar-Raqqa, Al-Hasakeh, and Deir-ez-Zor

Following a severe rainstorm, several villages in eastern Idlib and southern Aleppo countryside were flooded after the collapse of an embankment at Al-Siha Dam. The breach led to a sudden surge of water, which rapidly flowed into residential areas and agricultural lands, causing widespread damage.

Thousands of dunums of farmland were submerged, along with many homes, resulting in significant losses for local communities who rely heavily on agriculture for their livelihoods.

Many families have been forced to flee their homes in search of safety, leaving behind their belongings and sources of income. The affected population is now facing extremely difficult humanitarian conditions.

Immediate humanitarian assistance is critically needed to support these families, help them recover from the impact of the flooding, and restore a sense of stability and dignity in their lives.

Why give to Human Appeal

Human Appeal has been changing lives through our projects in Syria since 2013. We assist families with emergency aid and support the long-term development of healthcare, shelter, and livelihoods.

Our nutritious month-long food parcels and daily bread help displaced families access healthy food. Al Imaan Hospital provides life-saving healthcare in northern Syria, where health facilities have previously been targeted and shut down.

Our homes project has provided safe, long-term housing connected to the water and sewage system for 10,000 Syrians from 2,000 families.

Our projects are run by local staff, and our hospital is staffed by local doctors and nurses, all working together to improve the lives of the most vulnerable. When you entrust your charity to us, it is backed by over 30 years of experience and specialists in protection, child safety, and emergency response.

Our team in Syria provides the most vulnerable families with food, healthcare, homes, and livelihoods, but they need your help to continue protecting those in need as large numbers return amid significant demands for assistance.

If you want to change lives in Syria through meaningful, impactful projects run by capable, caring hands, donate now.
