Bread is the most affordable and culturally significant source of nutrition in all four target countries. A single loaf costs less than a dollar to produce and can feed a family for a day, making it the most cost-effective form of nutrition Human Appeal can deliver at scale.
Yes. Human Appeal has already distributed over 157,000 loaves through a successful bakery project in Khartoum, Sudan, reaching approximately 1,700 vulnerable people daily. Bread of Hope builds and expands that proven model.
Distributions are prioritised for the most vulnerable families, including children, women, the elderly, and those facing the sharpest end of food insecurity in each target country.
Human Appeal is committed to providing aid in the country or program that you select. In the event we complete the program, exceed the required funds, or are denied access to a particular country for reasons beyond our control, Human Appeal reserves the right to reallocate your donation to another program where it is needed most. Please note that items in Gaza are subject to change regularly; in the event that we cannot secure specific items, we will instruct for items that are very similar.
