Experienced humanitarian and non-profit leader joins Human Appeal Canada’s executive leadership team.
Mississauga, ON - August 25, 2026 – Human Appeal Canada is pleased to welcome Rania Lawendy as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
In this leadership role, Mrs. Lawendy will support interim CEO of Human Appeal Canada, Owais Khan, to advance Human Appeal Canada’s strategic priorities, strengthen organizational capacity and further its mission to support communities facing humanitarian crises and hardship.
Mrs. Lawendy brings extensive leadership experience in the humanitarian and non-profit sector, along with a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing organizations working to deliver meaningful, sustainable impact. Her experience, sector knowledge and commitment to serving vulnerable communities will be instrumental as Human Appeal Canada continues to strengthen its programs, partnerships and operations.
