Syria Winter Kit

In Lattakia and Idlib, displaced families and returnees face winter in flimsy shelters with no reliable way to stay warm. Give a Syria Winter Kit and provide one family with heating fuel or winter clothing this season.

What the Syria Winter Kit Provides

Each kit provides one of the following, based on what a family needs most: 300 kg of olive-pomace fuel, enough to heat a home for about one month A voucher to choose winter clothing from a local shop, including a jacket, trousers, socks, and boots

Why Syria Needs Winter Support

Families in Lattakia and Idlib are selected using a winter severity index that tracks elevation, snowfall, and how many displaced people live in the area. Winter raises the risk of respiratory infections, hypothermia, and death, especially for children and the elderly. Families without heating fuel or warm clothing have no way to protect themselves through the coldest months.

How Your Donation Reaches Families

Human Appeal field staff identify the most vulnerable households, including female-headed households, families with a member living with a disability, elderly-headed households, and families caring for orphans. Each family receives either a heating kit or a clothing voucher. Families with vouchers are scheduled to redeem them at a local shop, where Human Appeal staff help with the shopping and check the quality and fit of every item.

Why Give With Human Appeal
