On March 28th, 2025, a powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake devastated regions across Myanmar, leaving over 1,000 people dead and thousands more injured. Human Appeal has launched an emergency appeal to provide immediate relief to affected families in the hardest-hit areas. Thousands of families are homeless and in urgent need of basic necessities like food, shelter, and clean water.

Human Appeal is mobilizing 13,000 humanitarian aid items as part of the first phase of its relief efforts, focusing on Mandalay, Myanmar’s second-largest city and the epicenter of the quake. Our initial assessment identified urgently needed items such as rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, canned food, biscuits, purified drinking water, mosquito nets, emergency blankets, and sleeping mats.

With over 34 years of experience, Human Appeal has a long-standing history of delivering humanitarian aid to the Myanmar region, including providing water and sanitation for thousands of families in refugee camps. Our teams are already on the ground, ensuring aid is delivered quickly and efficiently.
