The 'Where Most Needed' option means Human Appeal directs your Qurbani to whichever location within our existing delivery program is facing the greatest need during Dhul Hijjah. Our teams assess the need across all 41 countries we operate in and allocate Where Most Needed donations accordingly, to the communities where your sacrifice will have the deepest impact.

The Where Most Needed Qurbani share costs $125 through Human Appeal Canada. This covers the full cost of the animal, slaughter, butchering, packaging, and distribution. There are no additional charges.
Human Appeal delivers Qurbani across 41 countries in Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East — including Sudan, Yemen, Gaza, Somalia, Pakistan, India, and many more. Your donation will be directed to whichever of these locations our teams assess as facing the greatest need during Dhul Hijjah 2026.

Yes. Regardless of which country your Qurbani is directed to, all sacrifices are conducted by qualified butchers under the oversight of local Imams and Islamic scholars, in full accordance with Sharia guidelines.
Yes. Simply make your intention at the time of donation. The destination does not affect the validity of your Qurbani — your niyyah is what matters, and Human Appeal will fulfil the sacrifice on your behalf.
They refer to the same act. Qurbani is the term commonly used in South Asia and across the wider Muslim world, while Udhiya is the classical Arabic term. Both refer to the sacrifice performed during the days of Dhul Hijjah.
Sacrifices are carried out between the 10th and 13th of Dhul Hijjah, beginning after the Eid prayer. Human Appeal pre-purchases animals in advance so your Qurbani will be performed on time regardless of when you donate within the giving window.
Every year our team in the field endeavours to ensure your Qurbani is distributed on your behalf in the country you selected. However, in cases where it is no longer possible in the country of your choice due to factors beyond our control, we will ensure it is delivered within the Eid days, to those who need it most in the next nearest country.
