Human Appeal has operated in Gaza every single day since October 9, 2023. Through 440 days of airstrikes and border closures, our field teams provide a mobile clinic at UN school shelters, deliver hot meals every day, and tens of thousands of liters of clean drinking water every hour.
We run supported bakeries that feed thousands daily and operate mobile medical units that reach displaced families. We've established schools in displacement camps where children learn each morning despite the challenges.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is among the worst the world has ever seen. Over 75% of the population — 1.7 million people — have been displaced. More than 62% of all homes have been destroyed. Only a fraction of Gaza's hospitals remain functional, and disease spreads daily through overcrowded displacement camps.
Food has been weaponized. Water infrastructure has been bombed. Medical supply chains have been severed. Children who survived airstrikes are now at risk from malnutrition, contaminated water, and untreated wounds.
Human Appeal is one of only 8 kitchens still operating in Gaza City. Our teams have cooked and distributed over 10 million hot meals under fire, during forced evacuations, and through siege. We held a Grand Iftar for 6,000 Palestinians in Ramadan 2025 and recently a second one this year — because even in war, dignity matters.

Human Appeal has been serving Gaza since 1991. We established a permanent field presence in 2016, and since October 2023, our teams have operated every single day across North, Central, and South Gaza. We have not paused, evacuated, or stepped back.
Our local staff of nearly 50 people — Gazan men and women — risk their lives daily to deliver aid to their own community. Three of our colleagues were killed in an airstrike on our North Gaza office in July 2025 while supporting orphan care programs. They gave everything. We honor their sacrifice by continuing.

Human Appeal uses multiple trusted delivery channels to navigate the siege and border restrictions. Our teams operate land routes where possible and have conducted air operations — including a BBC-covered helicopter medical shipment via Jordan — when land routes are closed. Recently, we shipped 8 humanitarian shipments, more than 240 tons of essential aid, via Egypt. This aid, in collaboration with the Hashemite Charity Organization of Jordan (JHCO), is being delivered directly to the borders.
On the ground, our local teams, who have been in Gaza for more than 30 years, distribute food parcels, hygiene kits, ambulance fuel and medical supplies as soon as they are received. Your support is crucial to ensure the continuity of these vital actions. We also work with local suppliers and partners inside Gaza to source goods internally. When border crossings open temporarily, we act immediately.

Human Appeal has nearly 50 locally-based staff members on the ground in Gaza, operating across North, Central, and South Gaza. Our operations are verified by the UN WASH Cluster, UN Food Cluster, and other international bodies. We publish regular impact updates and reports. The operations we conduct in Palestine are constantly evolving throughout the year. We keep our valued donors updated on a regular basis by actively sharing our actions on our social media channels.
